Background
Quivers is a premium brand in the Grocery category, known for delivering quality and consistency to a loyal customer base since 2004. In late 2024, the brand was preparing for a significant shift: a change in ownership. The new owner approached me with a clear request, to facilitate a seamless brand and Amazon account handover, ensuring business continuity and long-term success. However, prior to the transition, the brand experienced a significant setback, a three-month period of downtime on the Amazon store, as the previous owners were unable to keep up with product production and fulfillment.
What began as a technical challenge quickly evolved into a full brand transformation. Since taking on the project, I’ve worked closely with Quivers to not only restore the account but to reposition the brand for scalable, sustainable growth.
Challenges
- Complex Account and Brand Transfer
- Production Downtime & Store Inactivity
For three months leading up to the transition, Quivers’ Amazon store was inactive due to halted production. This created urgency around restoring customer confidence and regaining sales momentum post-handover.
Amazon’s process for transferring brand and account ownership can be complicated, with documentation, approvals, and risks of listing suppression. Our priority was to handle the transfer with zero disruption to active listings or customer access.
Inconsistent Brand Strategy
Quivers’ listings lacked cohesion and did not fully reflect the quality or value of the product. There was an opportunity to enhance the visual identity and optimize the content to better connect with the target market.
Inefficient Pricing and Marketing Structures
Prior to the transition, the brand’s pricing model and marketing strategy lacked a clear profit-first approach. The absence of a strong structure was resulting in lost margin and under-leveraged potential resulting in some products actually losing them money.
Our Approach
Seamless Brand and Account Transition
I managed the full brand and account ownership transfer on Amazon, ensuring all brand registry elements, catalog access, and performance history remained intact and under control. I worked closely with both the outgoing and incoming brand owners to coordinate every step of the process, ensuring a smooth and cooperative transition.
Reshaped Brand Positioning
With the account secured, I restructured Quivers’ branding on Amazon, refining product titles, images, A+ Content, and storefront assets to establish a stronger, more cohesive identity.
Pricing & Profit Strategy Overhaul
I performed a full pricing audit across the catalogue, aligning price points with market expectations and margin goals. This included optimizing promotions, bundles, and Subscribe & Save offerings.
Data-Led Marketing Optimisation
Leveraging performance data, I developed a cost-effective marketing structure designed to maximise ROI, focusing on customer retention, upsell opportunities, and organic growth rather than over-relying on ad spend.
Our Impact
The transformation delivered measurable improvements across key metrics:
- 266.9% increase in repeat purchase sales, driven by optimised customer experience and restructured product offers
- 7% market share growth within the Pre-mixed & Ready to Drink category
- Streamlined pricing structure led to sustained margin improvements and reduced wasteful spend
- Clear, compelling brand identity resulted in stronger customer trust and improved conversion rates
Conclusion
Amazon transitions are rarely simple, but they don’t have to be disruptive. Through careful planning, hands-on execution, and strategic post-transfer optimisation, Quivers went from a business in flux to a brand on the rise.
I’m proud to have helped Quivers turn a complex ownership change into a commercial win, and with the right structures now in place, the brand is set for long-term success in one of the platform’s most competitive categories.
Background
BareBar was founded in 2021 in Lancashire, UK, and has rapidly evolved into a thriving e-commerce business. Recently, the brand celebrated the launch of its new, market-leading sports products, marking another major milestone in its growth journey. With strong momentum behind it, the company is now on track to break all its previous records.
Founder Christian Winstanley started Bare Bar during the UK’s COVID-19 lockdown. Having struggled with persistent skin irritations, he reached a turning point and set out to create a natural soap that was gentle on the skin and free from harmful ingredients. After months of careful development, he launched a product that prioritized both skin health and natural ingredients, deciding soon after to share his creation with the world.
Following strong sales on his own website, Christian made the leap into Amazon.
Like many new sellers, he quickly encountered the platform’s well-known complexities, from vague product approval processes to unclear documentation requirements. That’s when he reached out to us for expert support.
Challenges
Standing Out in a Crowded Marketplace
Amazon is saturated with products, particularly in the personal care space. Our team collaborated closely with Bare Bar to develop compelling, scroll-stopping imagery that resonated with their target audience. The result? A conversion rate increase of over 300%.
Establishing Brand Identity
It takes more than just listing a product to get noticed on Amazon. We implemented strategic, cost-effective methods to build brand awareness, without relying heavily on PPC spend, helping Bare Bar grow its presence and trust with customers.
Advertising Strategy
Managing advertising costs is critical. We developed and executed a tailored campaign strategy focused on maintaining a low ACOS and TACOS, aligned with the brand’s long-term profitability goals.
Our Approach
We took a comprehensive approach to Amazon optimization. All content and imagery provided by Bare Bar was audited, refined, and enhanced to meet Amazon’s algorithmic and aesthetic standards. This significantly boosted organic visibility and conversion.
Post-launch, we implemented a continuous A/B testing framework to ensure ongoing performance improvements.
We also built a custom Amazon Brand Store, giving customers a distraction-free space to explore the full range of Bare Bar products. This store alone led to a 71% increase in average order value.
Our Impact
The data speaks for itself:
- 107% year-over-year growth since our partnership began in 2023
- 20.81% average organic month-on-month growth, with peaks of 55.1%
- Average ACOS of 20% and a sustained 26.92% average monthly growth on advertised sales.
Conclusion
Amazon is a complex and ever-changing platform, more jungle than marketplace. From shifting policies to unexpected obstacles, it can be a lot to navigate alone. Our goal is to clear those hurdles so our clients can focus on what truly matters: growing their business.
BareBar is a clear example of what’s possible with the right support, strategic planning, and continuous optimization. We’re proud to be a part of their journey, and excited for what comes next.
